Yeah, Malta is culturally but not geographically part of Europe, but not in Asia either; Greenland is part of a European state, but not continuous with it; Georgia and Azerbaijan, like Kazakhstan, are partially in Europe, though Nakhchevan is not continuous with it. Iceland, the Faroes, and the Azores are not geographically part of Europe either. I don't agree with some of this. Malta and Faroes are as much in Europe as the British Islands. Cyprus is clearly in Asia (geographicaly). Greenland is clearly in North America (geographicaly). Iceland is somewhat borderline, but most maps/definitions that I have seen put it in Europe. The Russia/Kazakhstan/Turkey/Georgia/Azerbaijan/Armenia Europe/Asia border is discussed on pages like transcontinental countries, Europe and Asia geography, etc. Alinor (talk) 10:50, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
