My name is John H. Hoffman, a Graphic Designer employed by the Community College of Baltimore County, from 1971 until my retirement in 2004.

At the request of the Chancellor of the college, Dr. irving McPhail, I designed the seal in 2003. it was accepted and approved for use by the Baltimore County Board of Trustees for use as the official seal, to be used on official documents, diploma seals, etc. This is not to be confused with the college logo, which is seen on the website at http://www.ccbcmd.edu

I attest that this seal is solely my original work in every respect and that the file you see is still on my computer. this image was determined not to need to be copyrighted, so none was requested. At my discretion, I may use it as I see fit, as long as college ethics and reputation are maintained.

As the creator, it was stipulated that no changes to this seal could be made by anyone but myself, in order to assure its integrity. e only changes made was to the lettering so that it could be used by the President of The Community College of Baltimore County. This seal is restricted from any commercial use without permission, to anyone outside the CCBC system. non-profit use is permitted. i feel Wikipedia falls into this category, promoting the exposure of the college in a proper, non-commercial light.

If more information is needed, I will direct you to the proper individuals for any information you may require.

Respectfully,

John H. Hoffman, III
